Anaïs Guillem works in the Heritage Interpretation and Experience (HIVE) lab with Professor Nicola Lercari. Her research focuses on exploring knowledge representation questions to facilitate the integration of datasets of architecture using formal ontologies. For developing such meta-modeling, this research explores the work of a Californian architect, Julia Morgan, as a case study. The question of data modeling and data integration of Julia Morgan’s work is both a conceptual and practical issue. The enrichment of metadata and data transformation workflow used in the case study are meant to be re-usable for other architectural datasets, increasing interoperability and digital preservation in the field of architecture and cultural heritage.
