Bio: 
Carlo Acevedo is a Colombian second-year Ph.D. student and his research focuses on Latin American poetry and Art History. Carlo is also a writer and his first collection of poems, Fortuna del día (Day’s Fortune), was published in 2019 in Spain. He holds a master’s degree in Creative Writing in Spanish from the University of Iowa. Among his more specific/peculiar interests, it is possible to consider Japanese poetry, poetry written in oppressive political contexts, poetry as a form of social memory, and aesthetic theory.
