Bio: 
Cherika E. Gamble is a Ph.D. student in the Interdisciplinary Humanities, Critical Race and Ethnic Studies Program. They graduated Cum Laude from CSU Fresno in the spring 2023 with a B.A. in Women’s Gender and Sexuality Studies and a B.S. in Community Public Health. Cherika was a McNair Scholar and honor student; they are distinguished as the first person in CSU Fresno‘s history to receive Dean’s Medalist award for two colleges, College of Health and Human Services and College of Social Sciences. Cherika's research interests are: Hood and Trap feminism, Black feminist theories, Gender affirming care, Reproductive Justice, Health Literacy and pedagogy, LGBTQ2+ (Queer) studies; Spirituality, religion, and witchcraft, Health disparities, and Critical Race Theory. Cherika’s research primarily focuses on reproductive justice in the Black community and its intersection with spirituality and healing, to reclaim their bodily autonomy and community health through African American spirituality, alternative and folk medicine, and new community healthcare initiatives.
