David’s research interests include the Medieval March of Wales, medieval courtly literature, Renaissance theater, the intersection of history and literature in relation to knighthood and chivalry, frontiers and borderlands, and, broadly, cultural, political, and religious history.

Bio: 
David is a doctoral student working under the guidance of professors Katherine Steele Brokaw and Susan D. Amussen. After working many years in emergency services, he returned to college and earned a B.A. and M.A. in history from Fresno Pacific University. David has also worked as adjunct history faculty at a community college teaching surveys in World History, Western Civilizations and U.S. History. When not working, David enjoys spending time with his wife and two daughters.
