Bio: 
Melissa Rocha is a lifelong Merced County resident with bachelor’s and master’s degrees in English from California State University, Stanislaus, where she concentrated on Medieval British and Modern American literature. She has taught reading skills, composition and literature at Merced College since 2004. Ms. Rocha is returning to school to earn a Doctorate in Interdisciplinary Humanities, her research focusing on the intersections between true crime and Crime Fiction. When not on a college campus, she can be found playing with her 4 year old niece, having tea with her Jane Austen book club, or traveling the world on solo adventures.
