Bio:
Kevin Easley is a Ph.D. student in the Interdisciplinary Humanities program. His advisor is Professor Jayson Beaster-Jones. He has conducted prior research on the changing themes within popular rap music over time. He taught at various community colleges in the Sacramento area before matriculating into the University of California, Merced. He taught various course in Sociology including a course on hip-hop and social justice (one of the first of its kind). He is a Bay Area native with eclectic taste and a wide range of experiences from sports and music among other things.
