In this research area, History Program faculty train graduate students to gain expertise in history as a discipline while also teaching them how history is situated as one part of the larger field of inquiry of the humanities. All of the UC Merced history faculty may serve as advisors to IHGG students, and regularly offer seminars through the IHGG program. Disciplinary Area includes:
